Morgen Dishmon

Morgen currently attends Grossmont City College and will be transferring to either SDS or CSU San Marcos.

Growing up in the foster care system has not provided Morgen a direct path to higher education. She didn’t think she could make it through college because she struggled so much in high school as she missed chunks of her education due to moving from foster home to foster home. She finally gained the confidence to pursue her education with the help of foster youth programs that supported and encouraged her to create a better life for herself.

Now she can confidently state that she is a business major hoping to pursue a career as a financial analyst. In addition to her academic pursuits, Morgen makes time to get involved in her community.
