AFWA Dinner & Speaker Event “The Cloud” – November 10, 2016
November 10, 2016 @ 10:00 am$35.00
Join us next week to hear Chris Ploessel, president of RedNight Consulting, Inc speak on “Cloud Computing Basics”.
“You may know that cloud computing is now what social media was when it was first introduced – most people have heard of it but they’re not quite sure what it is, how it works or how it will help their business”.
What you don’t realize is you’ve been using the cloud for years – when you watch Netflix, save files to Dropbox or even post on Facebook. Until recently, cloud computing was limited to big corporations that could afford the massive investment required in technology, but now even the smallest businesses can enjoy and afford all the advantages of being in the cloud.
In his talk, “Cloud Computing Basics for Business Owners,” Chris Ploessel, president of RedNight Consulting, an Orange County-based cloud migration provider, will share with AFWA attendees:
The advantages and disadvantages of cloud computing
What’s involved in migrating data to the cloud
Why the cloud provides greater access, ownership and security of their data
Chris Ploessel wouldn’t call himself a visionary, but as a decades-long tech expert, he saw the future of cloud computing coming decades before the rest of us did. And now that the future is here, he is helping small and mid-sized businesses across the country get all the benefits of cloud computing that big corporations have enjoyed for years.
As president of RedNight Consulting, Inc., Chris guides the migration of a business’ IT operations from their own servers into applications like Amazon Workspaces, Micro-soft and Google, eliminating their need to continuously maintain and upgrade their software and hardware while having complete mobile access to their data.
Before starting RedNight Consulting in 2015, Chris was the Director of Tech-nology for NewDay USA, a Maryland-based provider of VA and FHA mortgage loans for homeowners.
